Virgil’s Cafe appeared in Season 9, Episode 5 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, “Porkapalooza,” which aired May 24, 2010, as a Bellevue, Kentucky Cajun and Creole restaurant bringing the bold flavors of Louisiana to the Cincinnati suburbs across the Ohio River — gumbo, étouffée, and the scratch-made Southern Louisiana cooking that was otherwise hard to find in Northern Kentucky. The restaurant closed in 2015.
