What to Eat
The Steer-In Burger, hand-formed and cooked to order, is the drive-in classic that has been on the menu since 1960 and has never needed updating. The House-Made Soups, simmered daily from scratch, are the lunch item that Guy highlighted and the reason the Soup and Sandwiches episode was the right fit. The Tenderloin Sandwich — the Indiana staple of a pork loin pounded thin, breaded, and fried until it overhangs the bun in every direction — is the state-specific item worth ordering on any first visit to Indianapolis.
