Hillbilly Hot Dogs on Ohio River Road in Lesage is one of the great American roadside spectacles — a converted school bus, a double-decker outhouse, a tiny space crammed with West Virginia kitsch, and hot dogs that have been earning a national reputation since Sonny Knight and Sharie Harless opened it in 2002. It appeared in Season 10, Episode 1 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, “Family Joints,” which aired August 30, 2010. Guy Fieri found the Homewrecker, a 15-inch hot dog with chili, cheese, coleslaw, mustard, and onions on a bun that can barely contain it. The concept is as wide open as the Appalachian creativity behind it — if you can fit a topping on a hot dog, Hillbilly will try it.

The Homewrecker is the signature and the DDD highlight — a 15-inch all-beef hot dog loaded with chili, cheese, coleslaw, mustard, and onions. It is a commitment and worth every bite.
