Eastside Market Italian Deli on Alpine Street in Los Angeles’s Chinatown-adjacent neighborhood has been a city Italian deli institution since the Badalamenti family opened it in 1929, serving the overstuffed Italian sub sandwiches, house-made salads, and the scratch-made Italian deli food that earns a Los Angeles neighborhood its most beloved Italian counter nearly a century into its operation.
