Southern Soul Barbeque on Demere Road in St. Simons Island has been serving low-country Georgia BBQ since Griffin Bufkin and his partners opened it in 2007, smoking meats over local hardwood and bringing the whole hog tradition of the Carolina and Georgia coasts to the Golden Isles.
