Bette’s Oceanview Diner has been on 4th Street in Berkeley’s Waterfront District since Bette Kroening and her partners opened it in 1982, serving scratch-made California diner breakfasts with the kind of quality sourcing and culinary technique that made the place a Bay Area institution well before Guy Fieri arrived.
