The Schnitzel — pork or veal pounded thin, breaded, and pan-fried until golden — is the German centerpiece and the dish that defines Lauer-Krauts’s identity. The Pierogies, boiled and pan-fried with butter and onion, are the Eastern European staple that bridges the Russian side of the menu.
