Fab Hot Dogs on Victory Boulevard in Reseda has been making a case for the San Fernando Valley as a serious hot dog destination since it opened, splitting and griddling all-beef dogs and building them with scratch-made toppings that go well beyond the standard stand. It appeared in Season 7, Episode 2 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, “Burgers, Tacos and Dogs,” which aired August 10, 2009. Guy Fieri found a hot dog operation taking its craft seriously in a strip mall in the Valley, which is exactly the kind of place Triple D was designed to find.
